Our mission

BDAG is campaigning to secure a right and fair deal for all NHS dental colleagues who have been short-changed during COVID-19 by practice owners. We have raised the issue with the British Dental Association and now directly with the Chief Dental Officer and her team in the NHS and asked that practice owners be held to account if they continue to refuse payments due or have terminated employment contracts during COVID-19 lockdown.

BDAG is the voice of dental colleagues who have lost out – and are suffering hardship. We will actively pursue their case, and in the longer term ensure dental associates, therapists, hygienists and dental nurses are not forgotten.

BDAG is concerned that this COVID-19 situation is seriously affecting the morale – and standing – of the NHS dental service across the country, we will work to restore that morale.

BDAG is a new forum to discuss current issues and concerns in NHS dental service, encouraging improvements, ensuring equality and fair treatment for all dental care professionals.
